Working in Normal or Slides View

In Normal or Slides view, text and graphics can be inserted directly onto the slide.

  • Click in the placeholders to type and edit text.  Edit the text as you would in Microsoft Word.

  • To format all the text in a placeholder, click on the edge of the placeholder and make the formatting changes.  To format just some of the text in a placeholder, select the text and make the formatting changes.

  • Placeholders can be moved or sized by clicking and dragging on the outside edge of the placeholder.

  • To move a placeholder, click on it until the selection handles are displayed.  Point the mouse at the frame around the placeholder, but not at one of the handles.  Click and drag to move the placeholder.

  • To size the placeholder, click on it to display the selection handles.  Point the mouse at a selection handle and click and drag to size the placeholder.
