Setting Transitions

Transitions are the effects used to move from slide to slide in a slide show.  Transitions are set in the Slide Sorter View.   You can also open the slide transition menu in the task pane.  There ae a wide variety of transitional effects available.

Transition Effects

  • Select slides to set transitions

  • From the Slide Show menu, choose Slide Transition.

  • Click on the transitions in the effects field to preview the transition effect.  To choose a transition effect, select it.  To apply the same transition to all slides, click Apply to All Slides.

  • Modify speed and add sound files if you wish.

If you wish to use automatic slide advance, set the number of seconds you wish to show each slide in the “Automatically after___” field.  If you want to be able to manually advance the slide show as well, leave the checkbox On Mouse Click enabled.  When you run the slide show, activate the automatic timings.  (To do this, from the Slide Show menu, choose Set Up Show.  In the Advance section, choose Use Slide Timings and click OK. )
