Use the Slide Show view to preview or run your slide show.

If you use
the Slide Show button on the View toolbar, PowerPoint will start the show
with the selected slide. To leave Slide Show view before the end of the
show, press the Escape (Esc) key.

To run an
on-screen slide show from the beginning, from the Slide Show menu, choose
View Show.

To set up a
slide show, from the Slide Show menu, choose Set Up Show. Use this dialog
box to turn on automatic slide timings if you set them. To run an automatic
advance slide show continuously, check “Loop continuously until Escape.” To
end a continuous slide show, press the Escape key.

To use the manual advance, click the mouse or press the right arrow key to
advance each slide. To back up in the slide show, use the left arrow key on
the keyboard. If you set bulleted points to build individually, click the
mouse to advance each point.

If you wish to highlight points in your presentation as you speak, type the
keyboard shortcut Ctrl/p. Your mouse pointer will become a pen icon you can
use to write on your slides. To change your mouse back to an arrow, type
Ctrl/a. When you leave a slide, the “pen” writing will disappear. You can
also erase the pen writing by typing the letter ”e”.

To pause during the slide show for discussion, press the “w” key. The
screen will become white. To return to the slide show, press the “w” key
again.

To end a slide show and return to the previous view, press the Escape key.

To go to an individual slide in the slide show, click the control panel
icon, (the triangle that appears when you point your mouse at the lower left
corner of the slide). Choose Go To, By Title.
